Amogha Amogha is an Imperial mage who has found himself in a very bad situation. He is a member of the Withered Hand, a dangerous necromantic cult that is raising an army of the undead across the desert. However, Amogha is not a willing participant. He is a scholar who was tricked or coerced into joining the cult and is now trapped, terrified for his life. He desperately wants to escape but knows the Withered Hand would kill him if he tried. When the player encounters him, he is a nervous informant, willing to betray his masters in exchange for a chance to survive. He represents someone who is in way over his head, caught up in a conflict far deadlier than he ever imagined. Adorit Adorit is a Redguard warrior and a member of the Ash'abah. In Redguard culture, necromancy and any dealings with the undead are considered abhorrent. The Ash'abah are a nomadic, outcast tribe who are tasked with the "unclean" duty of putting restless spirits and other undead to rest. Because of this role, they are shunned by mainstream Redguard society, but their grim work is seen as a necessary evil. Adorit is the embodiment of her tribe's purpose. She is a serious, pragmatic, and highly skilled warrior who is hunting the Withered Hand. To her, there are no "good" necromancers; all who tamper with the dead are an abomination. She is the quest giver and the primary force working to stop the cult. Their Dynamic and the Quest The core of the questline revolves around the tense and mistrustful relationship between these two characters, with the player caught in the middle. Conflict: Adorit, the undead-hunter, needs to destroy the Withered Hand. Amogha, the unwilling necromancer, has the inside information she needs but is, in her eyes, just as "unclean" as the rest of the cult. Mistrust: Adorit does not trust Amogha at all. She is willing to use his information but believes he is likely to betray her and the player at any moment. Her cultural and personal hatred for necromancers makes it impossible for her to see him as a victim.
